Closing the Digital Divide
With Today’s Most Innovative Telecom Solutions
Mission
In 2017, GeoLinks officially became a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC). Since our founding, we have been on a mission to provide broadband connectivity to anchor institutions nationwide. We are committed to working with organizations, agencies, and municipalities that share our passion for closing the digital divide and ensuring that all communities across the United States have access to high-quality, reliable Internet service.
Connect America Fund
The Connect America Fund (CAF), a part of the Universal Service High-Cost program, is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program designed to expand access to voice and broadband services for areas where they are unavailable or lacking.
Connect America Fund & Rural Digital Opportunity Fund
GeoLinks is proud to announce that it was a major winner under the Federal Communications Commission’s Connect America Fund Phase II (“CAF”) and the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (“RDOF”) grant programs. These programs, both part of the Universal Service High-Cost program, were designed to expand access to voice and broadband service for areas where they are unavailable or lacking. Under these programs, GeoLinks is expanding its service footprint to serve unserved areas in parts of Arizona, California, and Nevada.
Connecting America and closing the digital divide
Since 2016, GeoLinks has focused deployment efforts on connecting rural schools and libraries throughout the state of California and beyond. In fact, GeoLinks was the largest construction grant winner for California K-12 schools and libraries in 2016 and 2017.
GeoLinks is a proud member of the Schools, Health and Libraries Broadband Coalition (SHLB), whose mission is to promote government policies and programs that enable schools, libraries, health care providers, other anchor institutions and their communities to obtain open, affordable, high-speed broadband connections to the Internet.
„We are at a pivotal moment of change in our country, and schools, libraries, health providers, and other community anchor institutions (CAIs) have the power to unite and move us forward. GeoLinks has proven that fixed wireless is a viable solution for our rural institutions.“
